De inzet is rassen te ontwikkelen voor de biologische sector. Dit gebeurt o.a. door geniteurs te ontwikkelen als nieuwe kruisings- ouders om tot phytophthoraresistente rassen te kunnen komen. Dit veredelingsprogramma is een samenwerkingsverband tussen Louis Bolk Instituut, Wageningen University, zes veredelings-bedrijven en diverse biologische boerenkwekers.

Abstract / summary in English:

The objective of the Bioimpuls project is to develop potato varieties for the organic sector. One of the strategies is to develop new parent lines (genitors) from which Phythophthora-resistant varieties can be bred. This breeding programme is a collaboration between the Louis Bolk Institute, Wageningen University, six commercial breeding companies and various farmer-breeders.
