Abstract / summary in English:

Organic potato production suffers from variable yields and appropriate cultivars are lacking to optimise the production. In this chapter we will discuss the specific organic cultivar requirements and the breeding perspectives for cultivars better adapted to organic potato production. The participatory potato breeding approach that has taken off in the Netherlands is included as example.
