Cocoa farmers starring in Dutch movie

Cocoa farmers from Ghana are now starring in a Dutch movie. They participate in a Value Chain Development project in order to improve the production and quality of cocoa beans. Advisers of Agro Eco-Louis Bolk Institute support the farmers during their certification and sales process for organic farming. The project runs in Ghana and was funded by Rabobank Foundation and Progreso/Stichting Doen.

Training  on organic production, better income

Thanks to our training courses on good agricultural practices and organic farming, these cocoa farmers earn a better income and improve their livelihood. They even export the cocoa to Europe. From this week on, their chocolate bars are sold in big stores such as HEMA in the Netherlands. Related project partners are Return to Sender and the COFA-association from Ghana.

We work on cocoa, coffee, fruit, herbs and sesame. For more information, please read about our organic cocoa projects or contact Willem-Albert Toose  for further information.
