" We asked the Agro Eco-Louis Bolk Institute to carry out a vast independent evaluation of the SECO Trade Promotion Program of organic agriculture in developing and transition countries. An important reason to choose them was their longstanding experience of organic agriculture and their extensive network in these regions. They gave us valuable feed back about the results of the projects and came up with useful suggestions for improvement. As a clear proof of their professional attitude, they did not try to please us but remained independent in their assessment. Their co-operation with Wageningen International was positive as well. It was definitely not an easy assignment, because the availability of data on achieved results was a challenge. Nevertheless, they successfully accomplished it. I personally would recommend them to any donor organisation who wants to have a thorough, high-quality evaluation of its development program in this field."
