"During 2008-2009, ITC worked with the Agro-Eco Louis Bolk Institute and the National Organic Agriculture Movement of Uganda in training on organic agriculture and marketing. The training sessions resulted in large groups of farmers gaining access to organic certification and so qualifying for potentially higher premium prices from buyers. The trainings were well organized and communication from these partners was very effective. One of the results of this project is that a large group of exporting farmers' co-operations will market their products through the worlds' biggest organic fair: the Biofach in Germany."
